Tuning module for permanent installation in e-bikes / pedelecs with Yamaha PW drive system of all model years. For bikes with other Yamaha drive systems, please refer to the following selection guide.

The tuning is not suitable for children's and youth bikes with a factory speed limit of 20 km/h or for S-Pedelecs with a limit of 45 km/h.

The device is installed invisibly from the outside on the drive motor. The installation is done with some technical skill in 15 minutes. No cables need to be damaged or modified, the module is simply plugged in.

No PC or smartphone is required. All settings are made conveniently via the display on the bike.

A unique feature is the ability to set the speed limit, as well as the the shut-off behavior and the wheel circumference via the display.

In contrast to the almost complete elimination of motor cut-off with other tuning modules, this module still allows a very sporty riding style with moderate battery consumption by slightly increasing the limit, e.g. to 32km/h. To reduce the very abrupt interruption of the motor support at the down regulation speed, the range of the down regulation can be spread to twice the speed range.

Features

• Tuning can be turned on or off via the arrow keys on the control unit.
• After switching on, the speed limit can be freely set in the range 25 – 99km/h using the arrow keys. The last set value is stored.
• The tuning is always turned off after switching on the bike.
• Setting of a smoother “throttling behaviour” possible (dynamic mode). The otherwise very abrupt cut-off at the speed limit is thereby significantly softened. 
• Correct display of speed, distance traveled, average and maximum speed.
• Range calculation takes into account the current riding style / battery consumption in addition to the charge level of the battery and the selected support level when tuning is active. 
• Correct total mileage of the bike even after removing the tuning module.

• Operation of the e-bike on public roads is no longer permitted after installation of the module. Use is only permitted on private property or on designated test and race tracks.
• Damage caused in connection with the operation of the e-bike is no longer covered by private liability insurance after installation.
